2016 - 2017 Shows Announced

Welcome We are excited to announce the expanded lineup for the 2016 - 2017 school year.  We will jump start the year with the first of four Improv nights, on September 23. And the following week, we will be holding our Fall Showcase, on September 29.  The Fall play will be Alibis by Peter Kennedy, a full-length murder mystery comedy. Opening night for the fall play will be October 20, with two more performances on October 21 and 22.
 

In December we will be performing A Deep Poetic Journey Into Something by Forrest Musselman, a  one-act drama.  Spring gives way to a Spring Showcase and a full-lenght play, [No] Vacancy by Katelyn Beyke.

FOUNDERS MEMBERSHIP DRIVE
April 13, 2016

Welcome to the Bloomingdale High School Thespian Boosters,The 2015 - 2016 is our founding year. We are all very excited to finally have a booster organization to support the Theater program and are looking forward to an incredible year. We are working on a variety of projects in our first year designed to help kick-start the booster program and give it a firm foundation for strong development in the future. So far, we have incorporated our organization, filed for our 5013c designation, developed a website, formed a Facebook page and twitter account. We also have developed a social media and fundraising plan to provide much needed financial help for the HUGE list of needed items and increase awareness of the program.Now we are launching our Founders membership drive.

FLORIDA STATE THESPIAN FESTIVAL 
March 16 - 19, 2016

This festival is a wonderful event for high school thespians and their drama troupes to show their stuff alongside other schools from around the state. Over the course of three days, schools compete for mainstage awards in a series of public productions of various plays. The festival provides a great platform to showcase the work of budding thespians and encourage friendly competition in a fun learning environment.

THE NIGHT of ONE ACTS

Students' nerves are on edge as they tirelessly put the finishing touches on this year's One Act productions.  February 12 will be a night of comedy you won't want to miss with three great performances planned:  Three Fractured Pigs, Really Bad Advice, and The Education of Janet O'Malley.

 

Showtime is 6:00 PM and doors open 30 minutes prior.
